The assistant is read-only for safety: it helps you understand operations faster without changing data. Multi-branch organisations get an organisation-wide assistant; single workshops use the shop assistant. In-app AI is available on the Enterprise plan — contact GRX to enable it.
What the GRX AI assistant can answer
Typical questions include daily or weekly invoice totals, job counts and status, expense summaries, customer counts, and catalog search for parts or service pricing. Answers can include citations that deep-link into GRX so you verify details in the source record.
Because the assistant uses secured Cloud Functions and the same access rules as your GRX login, staff only see data they are already permitted to view.
Shop assistant vs organisation assistant
A single workshop uses the shop AI assistant from the main app navigation. Groups with multiple branches use the organisation assistant to compare or aggregate across locations, with branch context preserved when you follow a citation.
Organisation admins can review AI usage metrics on the organisation dashboard to understand adoption across workshops.
WhatsApp catalog assistant
Beyond in-app analytics, GRX supports an optional WhatsApp catalog assistant: customers message your WhatsApp Business number and receive product or service matches from your catalog. Deterministic search always works; OpenAI can optionally improve intent detection and reply wording when configured.
This is separate from the Enterprise in-app assistant and is configured per shop in Settings with your Meta WhatsApp credentials.
